Scholarships for Ghanaian Students

Ghana is located in the western part of the Africa. Students from different families usually wish to get educated from the private schools. It takes around 20 years for a child to complete their education in Ghana. Therefore the students who enter in the University level for further studies use to select the best university to get educated. Below is a list of the international scholarships available for Ghanaian students who are willing to upgrade their advance studies internationally.

There are different universities, institutions in UK, USA etc which are helping out these students and fund a good amount to pursue their education in abroad for their bright future. Each year many universities offer financial aid for the Ghanaian students which are both merit and need based. WASCAL fosters partnership between West African universities from Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Ghana, Mali Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Togo and German universities.

Scholarship Program: 4 Master and PhD Scholarships for Ghanaian Students

Scholarship Program: Durham University Postgraduate Scholarships

Scholarship Description: The scholarships are jointly funded by the Department for International Development and Durham University. Each covers the cost of one return journey between the award-holder’s home and Durham (economy class), and provides full payment of tuition fees, a stipend of £882 per month, a grant of a £200 towards the cost of study travel, a grant of £225 towards the cost of thesis binding and the cost of up to 10 Kilograms of excess baggage (books only) for scholars returning home at the end of their awards (2011 figures).
