Agriculture department has finalised necessary arrangements for the sale of seed kits of summer vegetables among the growers of Kitchen gardening across Punjab. Sources in local agriculture department told Business Recorder on Sunday that Vegetable Research Institute had prepared 50,000 seed kits of summer vegetables for the sale to growers of kitchen gardening in the Punjab.
Under the directives of Punjab Chief Minister, the agriculture department was making adequate efforts for the promotion and developing “Kitchen Gardening Culture” at gross roots level in the Province.
In Sialkot, Kitchen gardening had gained the popularity among the people especially females were taking keen interest for obtaining fresh vegetables. As many as 1500 seed kits would be sold in Sialkot district out of which Sialkot 500, Daska 400, Pasrur 400 and 200 seed kits would be sold in Sambrial tehsils of the district sources disclosed.
