Irrigation department starts issuing flood reports

The Sindh Irrigation Department on Wednesday started issuing flood situation reports, detailing the flow of water in various rivers. It said that River Indus was flowing normally at Guddu, Sukkur and Kotri barrages, adding that it would remain in normal flood.

The river discharge situation is as following: 139,758 cusecs upstream and 102,694 cusecs downstream at Guddu Barrage; at Sukkur Barrage, the upstream flow was 86,210 cusecs while downstream flow was 32,580 cusecs. At Kotri Barrage, the upstream flow was 19,080 cusecs and nil flow downstream. Normal discharge situation was reported from all stations on Indus at Tarbela, River Kabul at Nowshera, Jhelum at Mangla, Chenab at Marala. The situation was reported to remain normal over the next 24 hours.-PR
