Pakistan widely represented at Buffalo Congress

Pakistan was widely represented by a large group of researchers/academicians led by University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (UVAS) Lahore Vice-Chancellor Professor Talat Pasha at the joint 10th World Buffalo and 7th Asian Buffalo Congress at Phuket, Thailand. Five model livestock farms set up in Cholistan

Punjab Livestock Department under Shadbad Cholistan Project has set up five model farms including Mattanwali, Chapo, Jampur, Mauj Garh and Noorsir Blochan under a four years plan. Authorities on Monday denied a report that thousands of Australian sheep culled over disease fears were killed improperly, insisting they were slaughtered in accordance with Islamic practice.
