Due to general elections being held in Pakistan on coming Saturday (11th May 2013) there is scare activity on the cotton market. Most other businesses are also working at low level. Punjab has achieved 16 percent of cotton sowing targets fixed for the sowing season 2013 to fulfil the domestic requirements of the commodity as well as to export it. The country had almost missed early cotton sowing target in the current season, which might hamper the commodity production in the upcoming year, informed sources revealed.
