KARACHI: Agri-banking services are revolutionising the economy and the Zarai Tarqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) being premier stakeholder in this regard is playing its due role, spreading its network to far-flung areas, said ZTBL President Talat Mahmood.
He was speaking after laying the foundation stone of Gadap Branch, Sabzi Mandi, in Deh Tor. He said this new branch on suburbs of Karachi is the part of the series of services to farmers at their doorsteps.
He said assisting the farmers would result in better agriculture output and hence greatly boost the economy of Pakistan, which is mostly based on agriculture sector. Gadap Sabzi Mandi is a major market of vegetables and fruits. ZTBL Gadap branch Sabzi Mandi will enhance transactions in this area.
Consumers will be facilitated with depositing their utility bills as well as serving the largest Sabzi Mandi of Karachi. The ZTBL president said his bank is also providing branchless banking. It has been offering all facilities of ATM throughout the country.
The bank has also achieved AAA/ A-1+ by a rating company. He reiterated the banks efforts for further achievements. Zonal Chief ZTBL Syed Mashhood Rizvi and other senior officers were also present.
